Royal Conservatory of Music, Koerner Hall
“This new hall is decked with stunning sound.” Robert Everett-Green | Globe and Mail
Engineering Harmonics’ innovative design responds to this particular hall design—two loudspeaker clusters are used for amplified music (one in front and one behind)—and only the smaller, more discreet one is necessary for speech events. We respected both the RCM’s intent that the loudspeakers retract out of view and the need for high power when necessary.
1,140-seat Koerner Hall for chamber and orchestral performances.
Performance sound, video, communications and broadcast infrastructure consulting, design, tender, contract administration and commissioning.
A highly successful integration of performance sound within a recital hall environment providing the foundation for a diverse offering of amplified concerts.
We retained Engineering Harmonics because we respect them and we respect the quality of their work—both the results they had obtained on their previous projects and the process they employed in achieving those results.

The newly installed system has made an incredible difference in terms of coverage, power and fidelity. It has been well received by both touring sound engineers and audience members alike. The quality of the equipment and install have been rock solid for us.
