Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts
Subtle reinforcement
To support the enveloping orchestra sound of Canada’s largest producer of opera, Engineering Harmonics designed a discreet performance sound system. The system also transfers the off-stage chorus vocals out into the front-of-house, and adds the capability to bring sound design into the 21st Century world of opera.
Details
The $181 million, 2,010-seat theatre is home to the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet of Canada.

Outcome
In contemporary opera performance, a performance sound system is often required to expand the artistic scope. Supporting video and communications systems and extensive infrastructure are integrated into the design, allowing three complete productions to play in repertory.
