Joint Medical Degrees in the Maritimes

Dalhousie University
Outfitting bidirectional learning between schools labs and facilitating evaluations and debriefing.

EH designed, tendered and commissioned audio visual systems for the University of PEI’s new Faculty of Medicine along with additions to Memorial University to support a new joint doctorate program in medicine. Now termed “bidirectional learning” this program stems from the pioneering program at Dalhousie University in 2008 which garnered international attention for it’s mandate to provide an identical learning experience regardless of location.
CBU also opened a new medical school (CBMC) in Sydney NS with EH designing systems for their new joint doctorate program with Dalhousie to offer a rural pathway designed to support recruitment and retention of doctors. The inaugural class marks the beginning of a journey for 30 future doctors.
In addition to outfitting bidirectional learning between schools’ labs are equipped with high fidelity simulation with audio/video capture to facilitate evaluations and debriefing.
