Multipurpose in the truest sense

Engineering Harmonics designed AV for seven lecture halls, a 3×3 video wall, central control room, editing suites, and a 400-seat multipurpose hall with the most advanced AV program of any university venue. Known as Desautels Hall, the venue is the jewel of the project. It is equipped with eleven 10K lumen projectors, and can be configured in six ways to suit a range of uses from large examinations and guest speaker series to TED talks and alumni events.

Part of a large expansion to this highly acclaimed business school, the project furthers U of T’s vision to redesign the business education curriculum based on integrative thinking. Housing the Martin Prosperity Institute, the school is also home to two of the top four management thinkers in Thinkers50.

Audiovisual and digital signage consulting, design, tender, contract administration and commissioning.

Rotman hosts over 100 events annually in Dasautels Hall with many events captured with a backdrop of natural light. Engineering Harmonics deployed infrared proximity sensors for the design of the camera tracking system allowing lecturers the freedom to move throughout the classroom while cameras capture facial expressions at all times.

We have some very traditional teachers in our program who literally could not imagine how they were going to be able to teach without a blackboard and chalk. If we hadn’t had Andrew Kozak on board we never would have been able to get our teachers to understand how they can teach better with this technology.
